Continental's SportContact 6 features an asymmetric tread design furnished with circumferential grooves that expel water away from the tire to allow excellent wet traction. The tread is formulated with Continental's Black Chili compound, composed of a racing grade carbon black that assimilates to the road. A continuous center rib ensures consistent road contact for responsive handling. Circumferential grooves and lateral notches work together to expel water away from the contact patch to combat hydroplaning risks. The SportContact 6's internal structure is equipped with twin high-tensile steel belts that are reinforced by a unique Aralon 350 hybrid cap ply that preserves the tire's shape during acceleration.
