Continental's ExtremeContact Sport features a summer-only optimized tread compound with +Silane that forms into a five rib asymmetric tread design. Continental's SportPlus technology allows the tire to offer precision handling, wet traction and enhanced wear life. The tire's footprint is optimized to evenly disperse pressure throughout the tire's face to enhance tread life. Deep, circumferential grooves function to create a path for water flow in order to minimize hydroplaning risks and increase wet performance capabilities. Internally, the ExtremeContact Sport is reinforced by a polyester or rayon cord body casing with two-ply sidewall construction to provide rigidity and maintain ride quality. Furthermore, this tire is equipped with Quickview Performance Indicators to offer drivers signs of the tire's performance capabilities.
