These tread features enhance grip on wet or dry surfaces as well as amplifying steering responsiveness, braking performance, and cornering stability. An array of four circumferential grooves are coupled with a multitude of cross grooves to bolster wet traction and combat hydroplaning risks. High density sipes furnish the tread and work with tread block edges to generate additional biting edges in winter settings. Internally, the Ecsta PA31 is reinforced with twin steel belts and a nylon element that work with Kumho's ESCOT technology to evenly distribute cord tension throughout the sidewall. Variably pitched shoulder blocks nearly eliminate road noise for premium level comfort.
