The Sumitomo HTR Z5 is an ultra-high-performance summer tire with high highway performance. It is perfect for sports
cars, sporty coupes, and high-performance sedans. It is engineered to provide responsive, high-speed handling and
good traction in warm, dry, and wet conditions.
The HTR Z5 has a highly aggressive summer tire compound molded to an asymmetric, five-rib tread design. It has a
continuous central rib to stabilize the tread area, enhance steering response, and solid shoulders for lateral grip.
The tire has a water-pumping design with four wide circumferential and lateral shoulder grooves. It offers efficient
water evacuation for hydroplaning resistance in the wettest conditions. The internal construction of the HTR Z5 by
Sumitomo Tires provides two steel
belts with a two-ply polyester casing supported by the same high-rigidity steel
belts. The HTR Z5 measures 17, 18, 19, and 20-inch fits. It also has a full-width nylon reinforcement ply and a
high-modulus bead insert for increased sidewall firmness and improved handling.
